Teemu Selanne Scores Goal #400!

Teemu Selanne becomes the first player in NHA history to score 400 goals

RALEIGH- Teemu Selanne's slap shot goal which put the Renegades up 4-0 last night at the RBC center, only eight seconds into the third period, was a very memorial and emotional one. Selanne, who the Renegades signed as a free agent to a monstrous one year contract during the off-season. Selanne leads the NHA in goals, and is the first player in the history of the NHA which dates back to 1998 to score 400 goals.
The Renegades went on to win the game 5-0, giving Craig Anderson his first shutout of the season, only having to save 17 shots by the struggling Washington Americans.   The Renegades are now on a three game winning streak, and have won five of their last seven games.
Second to Teemu Selanne on the all-time goals scored list is fellow Renegade Milan Hejduk, who scored his 328th career goal to break the 0-0 tie at 14:06 in the second period.
The Renegades will now go on to face the New York Ravens in New York City on New Years Eve and hopefully have a long victory celebration afterwards on time square.
