The Renegades ended the week in New York City against the Ravens in the Larry Robinson Arena on new years eve, and got to take part in the new years eve celebration after the game.
Craig Anderson recorded his first shutout of the season against the Americans, and his first career shutout with the Renegades.  He saved 17 shots that night.
Much of the Renegades production continues to come from the second line.  The forwards on the second line scored four goals this week.  Matthew Lombardi, the left wing on the second line leads the Renegades in goals, while the other two forwards of the second line, Dainius Zubrus and Milan Hejduk are tied for second on the Renegades in goals.

Game of the Week:  The only home game of the week on 12/29 against the Americans was this weeks game of the week.  The Renegades executed perfectly, outplaying the Americans across the board.  The Americans were out shot 31-17, with Anderson saving all 17 shots on goal.  The Renegades scored a total of five goals, including Lombardi's team leading 5th goal of the season.

1) G Craig Anderson -- 2 wins, 1 shutout, .942 save percentage
2) RW Milan Hejduk -- 2 goals, 2 assists
3) LW Alexander Steen -- 1 goal, 2 assists

Rumors:  The Renegades are currently slightly over the cap and because of this are unable to make any changes to their team.  They are continuing to desperately seek a trade for Adam Foote to get them back under the cap but no teams have shown interest in Foote yet.

AHA Update: The Albany Attack are currently riding a three game winning streak.  Greg Mauldin scored his first goal for the Attack this week.

Next Weeks Schedule:  The Renegades will make two trips to western US this week.  The Renegades will start their first week of 2011 at home against the New York Ravens (8-4-0) on Monday night for the second of two back to back series with the Ravens.  This will be the final game against the Ravens this season.  The Ravens currently lead the series 2-1.  After the game the Renegades will immediately fly out to California to play the San Jose Sting Rays (6-4-1) on Tuesday night at the Bruce Nightingale Memorial in San Jose.  This will be the first of three games against the Sting Rays this season.  After a day off, the Renegades will return home for their third game of the week  against inter-division rival, the Ottawa Running Yaks (9-1-2) on Thursday night.  The Renegades will then again fly out west to play the Phoenix Gargoyles (5-2-4) at the Sunrise Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
